Magick Tool Cleansing Ritual

Magick Tool Cleansing Ritual
by Cora Soleil
(from my old group, Sisters of the Dark Moon)

If possible, find one or more of the following:

* dried sage, rosemary, thyme, bay leaves, and/or basil
* Choose one symbol for each element:
Earth - leaf, stick, flower, rock, pentacle, or a dish of dirt
Air - feather, incense, a knife, bell, or chime
Fire - candle, volcanic/igneous stone, matches (sulfur)
Water - cauldron/dish of water, seashell, coral, seaweed, seasalt,
Spirit - goddess/faerie statues/images, crystals and gemstones
* some salt in a dish
* oil to anoint your Third Eye and also the magickal object in question

(The reason you need these things is because each symbol represents its element's power and carries its unique energy within. Connecting the energies of the elements to your magickal tools is a good way to enhance your magickal and psychic abilities)

* Place the elemental symbols around the object in a circle.
* Light your candles and incense if you are using them.

* Begin the ritual by clearing your mind and letting your thoughts grow quiet. Imagine you are sitting in a dark cave, an informal way to cast a circle.
*Focus on the magickal tool aiding you in each working and concetrate on its purpose. For example, if you are cleansing a tarot deck, see the cards giving you accurate information every time you read them.

*Say:

"I cleanse this object in the name of the Goddess.
I banish all unwanted energy within,
so it may serve me well in my magickal workings.
By the power of Air
(touch the Air symbol to the object, which sits in the middle.
If you are using incense, you can pass the object through the rising smoke)
By the power of Fire
(Do the same thing here, if using a candle be careful of the flame)
By the power of Water
(if using water in a dish, sprinkle some of the object)
(touch the object with your right hand)
In the name of Isis this object is cleansed and made sacred."

Close the circle (step out of the cave).
Leave the object on your altar for a night or two in order to "charge" it with magickal energy.
When you use it in a spell, it will store and amplify the energy to which it is exposed.
