Media, Models, and Black Magick

This is one of my essays from English 101 last semester.

Media, Models, and Black Magick

The vast majority of people would never guess that a multibillion dollar club is casting a spell on them. But that is exactly what is going on.

Three ads have been chosen out of a magazine, representing three aspects of our existence they constantly seek to control. The first two are slightly simpler than the third, which is incredibly complex and difficult to explain. All three of these ads promote something that is completely false, entirely illogical, and altogether impossible to attain, even for those posing as icons of perfection. Together, these concepts indicate the reason why media moguls seem to feed off the tears of young women.

The first ad, “Prep,” demonstrates the way the Big Three Aesthetic industries: plastic surgery, cosmetics, and fashion, seek to control the minds of the young and profit from them. They create the “ideal” teenager (who is probably really twenty-five years old), give them outrageously expensive clothes, accessories, and bodies, and then put them on television and in magazines masquerading as teenagers for real teenagers to see and idolize. They also help to create the hostility seen in teenagers today, exploiting their personal insecurities during this vulnerable time of life. Essentially, their message is that the only way to gain acceptance from your peers is to hate everything, be really mean, and have the most expensive possessions humanly possible.

The second ad, “Gucci,” is of a couple who is obviously sexually active… at the moment. This is not a lecture against sex. But why is it any time a couple is seen this way, they have to be the same couple… He, tall-dark-and-handsome, and she dark-and sultry? Of course, individually, they promote Barbie, the impossibly tall-skinny-blond, which will be examined in a moment. But why are the women actually seen with the men usually dark-haired, dark or ethnically-complexioned, or wearing dark clothing?

It is to further confuse and disempower the subconscious mind, in which darkness relates to the powerful qualities women inherently possess, like nurturance, intuition, emotion, and love. However, in a confused subconscious which has been wounded by society’s conditioning, the “dark” qualities one displays become submission, social falseness, emotional dependence, and sexual promiscuity.

In society’s subtle manipulations and conditioning, women are expected to only act out one set of traits: submissive, passive, obedient, pretty, quiet, and agreeable. And when women are ambitious, strong, assertive, independent, and intelligent, they are thought of as trying to be “like a man” or (far more often) being a “bitch.” If a strong working woman is shown in the spotlight, she still always fits into the media’s Barbie doll mold.

This denial of our true natures has caused a subconscious rift in the psyches of women everywhere. The “patriarchal” woman is constantly vying for male attention, willing to do whatever it takes. But patriarchal society tries to make her choose between being a whore or a housewife. She cannot simply be a whole, loyal, loving, passionate, assertive, honest, sexually liberated woman. Of course, “God” (aka daddy) would want her to be a Madonna, the virgin Mary, weak and passive, serving the desires and needs of men all her life. But what are men taught to desire? A whore of course! The “whore” is still denying her true identity and desires, but she is the more sexual of the two, and therefore the more “desirable.” The whore's image is sexuality cut off from love, distorted so that it no longer resembles the vital, nurturing, life-giving force that it is meant to be.

The Big Three wish to promote a distorted view of the Bright and Dark aspects of our psyches because it causes people to perceive problems with themselves, and to feel sad and inadequate. And who has the solution? Why, the industries of course! Because they have shown most people the only glimpse of something their spirit craves: magick and sacred symbols. After all, where else can we see modern gods and goddesses being shown as something strangely human, but somehow far greater than ourselves, represented and reflected through our subconscious, and striking an unknown but vaguely familiar chord deep within our minds?

This brings us to the last ad, “Alien.” This photograph seems to be a direct slap in the face. It reveals a woman, artificially distorted for a ridiculous hourglass shape, adorned in a golden gown, and colored with a glowing aura of white light. Her face and hair have also been altered to appear less human. Her arms are held open in a welcoming gesture of acceptance and benediction.

She is the Goddess, the divine feminine aspect of the Universe, manifested through all women and reflected in a whole and empowered female psyche. No, wait. She is of the higher race of god-aliens who created our DNA and gave birth to the human race as we know it. Or is she both?

Doesn’t matter! Because they are going to distort the truth in any way they can, showing (as Michael Tsarion demonstrates) only twisted glimpses of sacred mysteries which have been all but lost to this spirit-starved society. They participate in the subversive use of sacred symbolism, which, along with helping people evolve, can also be the cause for their enslavement when used against them. Rather than give us access to the sacred knowledge they possess, they twist it and use it against us.

All of this is done using the following information. The subconscious mind is generally referred to as the “younger” mind because of the way lights, colors, sounds, smells, feelings, and most of all symbols, are able to impact it so strongly, almost as a child is fascinated and influenced by these things. The subconscious mind and the “inner child” are not the same thing. The subconscious mind is not stuck in childhood. It is always evolving, just as our consciousness, perceptions, and emotions are.

But it does operate more simply than most people would assume. It acts very much like a tape recorder. It plays back what was imprinted or recorded onto it by our parents, teachers or other authority figures, by events in life beyond our control and other things. Most of this conditioning came at a time in our lives when our subconscious mind was at the forefront of our consciousness, when we were young. But the subconscious continues to play a great role in our mental composition throughout life.

When people are put into a subconscious state by the lowered waves of a brain zoned into the television, focused only on the lights, colors, music, and images seen on a screen, they are susceptible to the negative ideas and harmful concepts which are subtly embedded into that which holds our attention. It is like being in a trance-state, where your subconscious mind is in charge, and connected instinctively to primal concepts such as sex or food, which weaken our mental defenses and make us more vulnerable to whatever symbolic theme they wish to implant. Also, when these images and ideas are everywhere, all the time, it is hard to escape them and stay true to what we consciously know is right.

The language of the subconscious is symbolism. The neural threads of the mind are long enough to stretch from earth to the moon, but every bit of the information recorded onto them is in the form of symbols and images. In the 2008 Victoria’s Secret fashion show, twelve models were seen wearing costumes which represented all the zodiac signs, as well as the planets, and even the traditional costume of the Masonic Blue Lodge (with one breast and the opposite leg exposed). This show opened with a series of sexualized robots, and the first costume to come down the runway was the inverted star of Baphomet. Of course, this obvious symbolic theme was not spoken aloud. However, it can easily be seen by those who have been trained to speak the language of symbolism.

Magick works through symbols, because they speak to and influence our subconscious mind, which sends the messages to our conscious mind where they are manifested. In this case, they manifest as the problems described above: sadness, depression, inadequacy, and confusion, because people do not realize what is being done to their minds through this subliminal imaging and symbolic subterfuge.

The producers of this propaganda know the secrets of the subconscious, and exploit them for profit. Indeed, information very similar to that offered above can be found in any Psychology text. These people are not stupid. They did not make billions of dollars by chance. They have created a lucrative business out of creating an illusion and using it to fool people into paying to obtain it (never mind that this illusion is entirely unattainable). The fact is, this act of subconscious imprinting is magick. This is why it can be said that the media has an occult agenda; because they seek to control the subconscious, the mind, and they use esoteric (or, more accurately, exoteric) means to do so.

Young women are no doubt the most affected by this subliminal terrorism. In a spiritual/psychological war, women would be the strongest warriors if it were not for the Industries’ doubled efforts to weaken us, simply because they understand our vast potential to make them entirely obsolete. The choice is quite clear: either they manipulate us and make billions of dollars, or they tell the truth and have nothing. It is simply the machine of capitalism working at maximum efficiency… at the expense of our daughters and sisters.

Magazines, celebrity shows, and commercial advertisements are not harmless entertainment. Let us teach our families to avoid such detrimental propaganda altogether.

No matter how radical it may sound, these things are in fact black magick, which is defined as any occult or esoteric practice which seeks to control and harm the mind and will of another human being. It is unfair, tragic, that young women are so relentlessly subjected to this manipulation. But we must turn the tide for ourselves if we are to make any true progress in society. If we are not given decent role-models, let us create them. Let us be them. Let us teach our daughters to be spiritually, psychologically strong women who will not succumb to society's psychosis. And most of all, let us teach them to speak the language of the mind in which the enemy is so highly literate: the language of Symbolism.
